So stiff. So sore.

Day after I got the first jab I got away with a headache and a very sleepy day. This time I wish I were sleepy, so I could sleep through the discomfort. Turns out the thermometer I stashed in my sick box doesn’t work well, it insists my body temperature is abnormally low but I really feel like I’m running a fever. Makes sense given that that’s one of the predicted symptoms. Back is sore, all my joints are sore, my scalp is sensitive, even my eyeballs hurt.

Have to go do afternoon chicken chores soon, and then maybe I’ll try lying down for a while.

Wow! I hope you had a lie down and feel better now.

Persevere, Joel. Your mantra for two days: I ain’t sick, I just have a vigilant immune system.

Got my first shot of Moderna today. We’ll see what things are like tomorrow. Hang in there and take it easy. In some ways, I can understand your neighbors concern – my wife caught the bug back in December and had a very rough time. A week in the hospital, and another week on oxygen.

The Barsleak may have slowed the leak down. Definitely didn’t fix it.

    Mark Matis…

While that one death is a tragedy, compare it to the reality that as of today in Utah 958,080* doses have been administered and 339,743 people have been fully vaccinated and lived.

The reality is that everything that we do daily from sleeping (Sleep Apnea mortality rate is 3X higher than normal) to enjoying a good meal (Obesity is a leading cause of cardiovascular diseases, obese people will typically die 10 to 13 years earlier than healthy-weight people) comes with risk. 🙂

Mike, I hope you understand that “ONE” death is merely what they have publicized. But then I am certain they would never prevaricate about such a thing…

Joel: Does that mean it’s time to think about a new radiator???

  7. Joel says:

Mark: Yeah, but buying from the local Carquest turned out to be a mistake. Two year lifespan is not impressive.
