Some sort of stomach bug, I guess…

Spent all yesterday afternoon nursing a stomach ache and sitting on the throne, and didn’t accomplish one blessed thing. Woke this morning feeling both better and rather rushed – I have a lot of little things to do before settling in for winter and they’re not getting done. So yesterday was supposed to be firewood and bread: I accomplished about half the pallet-dismantling I’d hoped and flaked out on baking entirely. Today I’m gonna forget the firewood, though the days continue sunny, cool and beautiful, bake bread this morning and do some interior tweaks this afternoon.

At least that’s the plan.

About Joel

You shouldn't ask these questions of a paranoid recluse, you know.

“Some sort of stomach bug…” My sympathies, sticking close to the indoor plumbing the next day is not a bad idea, either. Hopefully tomorrow will dawn with you in fine form and you get the fire wood chore knocked out.

The weather knows Joel isn’t doing firewood today. It is saving up the fun stuff for real firewood day.
    🙂

Wondering whether you get a flu shot and whether you have a few bottles of electrolyte solution or packets of electrolyte powder among your first aid supplies. Other than Jack Daniels. Intestinal issues can leave you dehydrated, weak and with impaired motor and brain function. But at least you don’t have to climb a ladder now to get into bed.

  4. Joel says:

Oh, Zelda. You know I can’t afford Jack Daniels.

Seriously, a few packets of electrolyte mix would probably be a good thing to keep, and no, I don’t.

Once you get that chicken (cooked or ready to cook) and egg production outlet going at Landlady’s you will be able to afford all the Jack Daniels you can drink. Looking forward to seeing the rising curve of your net income graph in a future post.
