The Jeep’s back!

Time will tell how fixed it is, but it’s back. The new water pump certainly sounds better, or at least less bad. But while I’m uploading pix I have my kitchen timer counting down 15 minutes and then we’ll see how readily it restarts.

Private to Terrapod…

The Jeep now has a pushbutton starter. 😀

Landlady sounded thrilled about that when I told her…

ADDENDUM: I gave it an honest 15-20 minutes of hot soak and it started right up. So maybe we got it!

Congratulations, always nice when things work as they should.

I do think that button looks at home there, even matches the color scheme – dust on black ;-).

Keep an eye on the water pump for a few drives just to be sure.

I take it the key still has to be used to take the steering out of lock and turn it “on” to the accessory mode, only you don’t need to turn the key beyond first position as the button starts the car?

We are heading for the big city to see my daughter and grand kids, so a wave to the east from Phoenix (actually Chandler) next weekend.

Glad that you’re mobile again. Here’s hoping that no other shoes drop for a long while.

A then-famous basketball player, last name of Barkely, departed his San Diego team, only to joyously return to the team some time later. The event was celebrated with a billboard featuring a photo of him wearing his numbered jersey. From the neck down. Facing away from the camera. (waiting a few beats for the mental image to form)… The caption, of course, was: Barkely’s back!

So. Ahem. Actually, that isn’t the Jeep’s back. It’s the Jeep’s passenger side. Please don’t ban me.

Here’s hoping on the ignition/fuel fix.

I like the bank of 3 toggle switches connected to a socket in the wiring harness.

To the stake with the heretic!
