The most popular spot in town…

(“LB, did somebody break in here and drool all over my laptop?”)

At one point there was actually a line at this thing, five cedar rats long. And I was at the front of the line!!!11! Because seriously, that last thing never happens.

Good thing I was doing all right for cash, because this morning put a serious dent in it. Between filling every single gasoline container I own, starting LB on a different (expensive!) brand of dog food, topping off the chicken feed barrel, buying some ammo and getting a prescription filled, I filled the Jeep and damn near emptied the wallet. But it’s all good. Thanks to Big Brother I ended up not paying out of my own pocket for last Friday’s eye doctor appointment OR the first round of my new and really expensive eyedrops, so I was in fact in pretty good shape for cash and as I always say, lots of stuff is better than lots of money.

What are you paying for that new dog food:

    ?

  2. Joel says:

About that much. Maybe a few dollars more than that at the local feed store but with zero shipping cost it looks like I did better locally than I would have online.

I have no notion of feeding LB this ridiculous stuff all his life, I just haven’t had leisure to do research and D&L have fed it to their dogs successfully for years.

What eye drops does he have you on? My quack switched me to Lumigan a year ago and even with prescription coverage in the plan it’s mucho dinero.

  4. Joel says:

Latanoprost, which I’ve been on all along, and something expensive and new to me called Dorzolamide.

Note that shipping is free if you buy over $49. And I suspect their selection might be slightly better than what’s available locally. As well as fresher…

Latanoprost (Xalatan) is basically “Drano” for the eyes, in that it increases the outflow of the fluid from the eye. Dorzolamide decreases the creation of said fluid. The combination reduces the IOP, the overall goal in avoiding the nerve damage called Glaucoma.

I’m on a similar combination for the same reason. Have been for over thirty years.

Drops in the morning, drops in the evening, drops at bedtime . . . still not blind.
