The normal activity of a proofreader is indistinguishable from…

My neighbor J told me about this yesterday…

Yike.  And I thought I had no social life in the city.  At least there were people in the office I said hi to from time to time…

The people in that office must not have any sense of smell. His bladder colon would have released all content at the time of death. If they didn’t smell THAT, they should have noticed other obvious smells that accompany death very quickly.

As a hospice nurse for 14 years, I can tell you that nobody could honestly mistake a dead body for someone just working hard. Nobody. Not even if he were flat in bed.

Not sure I believe this one. Even in New York, I think they still have a sense of smell.

I reference the death of Bat Masterson.

I confess I wondered about that as well, ML. I’ve encountered dead bodies indoors, and they’re usually not hard to detect.
