…repeatedly…
I just got back from the Monday morning water run, along with other liquid refreshments…
…and since the hens are taking their annual winter sabbatical I intended to pick up two dozen eggs to supplement the usual supply. But…
It’s not even a surprise: They do this from time to time. But given that this is 2020 I really don’t know whether to blame this on “wow that’s a crappy store,” my usual complaint, or the new shiny “welcome to 2020.”
Soon to be 2021, now with more overt socialism.
Considering Occam’s razor, I’d stick with “that’s a crappy store” Joel.
No egg shortage here, and the price is the lowest I’ve seen for years. Sooo…
Yeah…
Crappy store.
More like Crapitolism at its finest and panic buying by the sheeple.
Is there any way to give them extra light to keep them laying? I added a small light (15w) for 2 hours before sunrise and 2 hours after sunset. 14 hours keeps them popping all year long.
Ya know… Is it possible that lots of people in your area keep chickens? Is it common for chickens to take a “winter sabbatical”? If so, (besides the usual Thanksgiving rush) we may have put a finger on why your store experienced a run on eggs.
