This sets a new level for stupid products.

The Perceived Carry Decoy.9212060_origIt’s not a gun. It’s not a toy gun. It’s the rear end of a toy gun stuck to what looks like a holster. All the tactical disadvantages of open carry with none of the protection.

Maybe they’re making it up, but I’m not…

PCD understands that not everyone is comfortable with owning an actual firearm. But why should those feelings affect your personal safety? Now they no longer have to. With the launch of Perceived Carry Decoys, you may now give off the appearance that you are toting serious heat, while in actuality you have nothing more than a one piece device attached to your hip that is as harmless as a cell phone.

“PCD” is of course anti-gun. The homepage has a link to some ‘sensible gun law’ site with lots of faux statistics. What point they’re trying to make with the actual product, I refuse to speculate.

H/T to Unc.

  1. Oh, the stupid and ugly… it burns!

All I can say is that anybody who falls for this nonsense, deserves whatever they get.

The is so stupid that a photo of this should be in Websters dictionary to illustrate the word stupid. Realistically I guess it could be used if a person had a real firearm hidden and this was a decoy…

    No, I take it back.

This is really stupid and will result in folks relying on it for protection to die. The up side is that the some total IQ of the human race will rise because the stupid ones who relied on this will be gone.

And some moron will be killed by a cop because said moron reached for the look-alike saying “Oh, see, officer, it isn’t dangerous”. There will be outraged cries for better gun control ’cause guns are dangerous! The upside to this… thing… is that the holster retention is outstanding.
