The state of Illinois, to the sound of weeping, wailing and the rending of garments by Chicago pols, has become the fiftieth state to have some sort of legal concealed carry. I never thought I’d live to see that.
Of course the massive fees, draconian training requirement, and long list of prohibited places may dissuade some from taking advantage of it. I thought the requirement for a “lack of corporeal existence” was somewhat harsh. Summary execution by fire for all family members of those found in violation might also be taking the restrictions a bit far.
But hey! It’s a start.
