It probably has to do with his upbringing. LB’s mother is a cat, after all. She used to bring him rabbits. LB likes cats. Even so it took him a week – and a visit from Dharma, Landlady’s pup, who wasn’t a bit intimidated by the sharp, pointy kitten – to warm up to Zoe. But having done so, he has decided that she’s just fine. Since he’s the only one here who has, it should come as no surprise that she thinks he’s the greatest thing ever.
I’m happy to be able to report that Click’s objections are becoming more pro forma by the day. Zoe is still not allowed to touch, and most certainly not allowed to swat or poke. But if she’d only learn not to do that, Click would have no further serious objection to her continued existence. This was the first time I ever saw her actually permit Zoe on the same chair. A few moments later Zoe fell off the cushion and actually touched Click, and all hell broke loose.
The big holdout is Ghost, who just can’t abide the little monster. But even he wouldn’t get violent about it if she’d just leave him alone.
We’re getting there.
