…And even when I last owned a television set, which was 2006, I never watched network news so until a few days ago I couldn’t have told you with any certainty who Brian Williams even is…
…And I’m not going to blow smoke up your ass by suggesting that I myself have never embroidered a story a teensy bit to look bigger than I am…
Even so I must confess I’m enjoying this Brian Williams meltdown very much. In fact I don’t think I’ve been this entertained by network news since the 1968 Summer Olympics. 🙂
H/T to Borepatch.

Have not watched TV in nearly 20 years, myself. In 2005, when I broke my leg, I was living in a little rented apartment and had a choice between TV and crochet. I have a beautiful crochet bedspread now. The TV was too boring to tolerate… well, alternating between boring and infuriating. I had only limited internet access at that point, unfortunately.
Brian who? 🙂
Saw this and thought of you…. http://9gag.com/gag/aXpEWK9
I just heard the TRUTH on NBC. It was actually Brian Williams who was piloting that stove that was shot down by the Taliban whilst he was heroically saving the bus full of nuns and girl scouts. Joel was a mere passenger in a later stove that just happened onto the scene.
Schadenfreude is not low when the good guys do it.
Hehehehehe…
