Event organizer offers no apology after thwarted attack in Texas
Seriously? A couple of losers travel hundreds of miles to shoot up her event, are promptly whacked for their trouble, and your lead is that she ‘offers no apology?’ Wow.
I haven’t followed the suddenly-loud career of Pamela Geller. I gather she’s a prominent anti-muslim loudmouth – or maybe only an anti-jihadi loudmouth, I don’t know which. Possibly if I took the time to learn what she’s famous for I’d want to shoot her myself. But for this particular matter, I don’t understand why she would owe anybody an apology. So they were going to draw some funny – or even not-so-funny – pictures that might offend Muslims? Welcome to America, Achmed, where you don’t get to shoot people for that. And where if you try, the smart ones shoot back.

Gellers point I believe is that islam is largely incompatible with western values and when its followers are confronted with people who will not roll over to accommodate their demands they turn violent. They do not do this because they do not understand their religion but rather because they follow it literally. In this case Gellars point certainly seems true. The first amendment guarantees free speech not just speech that doesn’t upset anyone!
We also often slate the police but certainly in this case they did their duty promptly and efficiently.
I wanna know who taught the cop to shoot. Two against one and they were wearing body armor. He musta made head shots. Beer’s on me, dude.
Many things unknown or assumed here. The shooter was hired security who may or may not have been a cop. The stiffs are reported to have been wearing body armor by a reporter who wouldn’t know body armor if you beat him to death with it. Might have only been MOLLE vests or something.
Or maybe they were wearing body armor and died of fantastic headshots by the most competent cop in Garland. Dunno. I met a cop who was a good shooter once. Could happen.
