Clearly it’s time to do this the old-fashioned way. I established this morning that there actually is enough material to build pier forms, including one rat-befouled full sheet of underlayment it will be my pleasure to bury under the ground and cover with concrete.
But probably not today. The morning is getting past me, I have to leave for the Monday water run, I’m low on bread, and by the time I get back to the project it’s going to be blazing hot. So my construction ambitions for the day have been scaled back to figuring out how to use a water level, probably late in the afternoon when the sun is less punishing.
