I’ll take my blessings where I can find them, I guess…

I’ve been down in the dumps the past few days because I pulled up lame in the middle of the Lair-siding project, and now it’s just sitting there mocking me. And the weather’s been weird: Rain in June? That doesn’t happen, except now it is.

But either despite or because of the cold spring and wet summer, it sure has been a good season for flowers. The cliff roses were twice as prolific as I ever saw them, the red-flower cactus was great, and now we’re surrounded by yellow-flower.cactus_flowerThat one’s right in my front yard, where I’m always afraid somebody’s going to run over it.
