Use your time wisely to prepare for the continuing Endarkenment because there is no stopping it. Consider this a pause to gather your family, increase your preps, continue training, refine your armory and get ready for the path ahead which will demand not only your life but will determine just how free your children may be. -Bill Buppert
It would be an ill-counseled and a hardy social justice or Allah warrior who came all the way out here to trouble old Uncle Joel, but I do consider the possibility of the grocery trucks ceasing to make their way to the little town nearest where I live, and maybe stirring up my less-treasured neighbors. Which is why, though tucked as I am in my little desert hollow I’m probably safer than you, I do pay attention to my stocks – both the pantry and the armory.
And the truth is…

Old Uncle Joel has been “meaning” to buy a case of AK ammo for some time now – and has been putting it off. I am rich in food and health and good will, but it’s been a slow year for cash – and likely to get slower yet. I load my own pistol ammo, which is what I use most. But the rifle ammo does quietly melt away when you don’t pay it enough attention. My ready magazines are loaded, of course, as is an ammo can full of stripper clips. I’m not a complete idiot. But to open the last case of resupply ammo in the powershed and to find a whole 200 rounds there … well. That’s just poor stewardship.
But there really didn’t seem to be much I could do about it, and it was a worry. And then – right then! – a friend of the blog showed up for a visit, and damned if he didn’t bring a gift…
🙂 Synchronicity.
