Got back a little while ago from my post-laser-in-the-eye thing. It was just a follow-up visit, once I finally got in I was out in minutes. But D&L plan their trips to the big town around my appointments, so I’m not going to complain about hours in a Home Depot afterward.
Pressure in the eye is lower, but not miraculously so. (It’s come down twenty points on whatever the hell scale they’re using since December, just from the drops, from 37 to 17.) I’ve got to go back in about six weeks, and then we start talking cataract surgery – which may actually improve my eyesight. Except for the new glasses, all this crap in the last four months has just been damage control.

Intraocular pressure is usually measured in mm of Mercury. Normal is between 10 and 20 mmHg. 37 is certainly very high, but 17 sounds like pretty good news to me. Lower isn’t always better, you need some pressure in the eyeball.
Good luck!
Indeed that does sound very good, Joel. That’s one heck of a drop. And keeping it there will reduce the amount of damage in the future.
There are supplements that would help the eye to heal and get stronger as well. Are you willing to take a few supplement pills a day? If so, say the word and I’ll send you another care package.
