In this fleeting moment of apparent connectivity I’ll tell you that there’s yet another Wildblue service call supposedly scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. This will be the fourth such scheduled visit, and of course even if Service Guy deigns to show up and get out of his truck this time, history strongly suggests he’ll find (what he considers) good reason not to actually fix anything. It has certainly happened before. I’m quite over any affection I may ever have felt for Wildblue. Other options are pending, but will take weeks at best.
That is all. Now to see if I can actually post this, or if the modem is only teasing me again.
BTW, did the government really shut down? Are you guys okay? Are the local municipalities able to cope with the bodies stacked in the streets? Have you evaded the rioting, looting and cannibalism so far? Thinking of you…

The tractor is pushing the bodies out of the way, & the ammo is holding out. It’s bad though… No internet, stores closed, can’t buy beer…
Wait… No it isn’t, they aren’t, & yes I can.
The gummint shut down?
Don’t have much contact with “government” of any sort, but I do have to go into the post awful twice a month. Went yesterday. No change. Stupid and inefficient as always. The fun part is that the lady behind the counter agrees with me. LOL
What’s this shutdown you speak of?
Re: Did the gov’t really shut down? Are you guys OK?
You kill me Joel,very funny!
Some parts of. The government have shutdown. My job to be specific. Don’t worry though, the tax man and official oppressors are still at work.
Went to the big city today and saw no changes of any kind to anything anywhere. Back in the forest and really don’t care unless and until the zombie hoards show up way out here. Awfully glad to see you, btw.
I wondered “does Joel know?” LOL, sometimes hermitism is bliss.
Best part of it was the Vets storming the monument – once again! and winning! Maybe no actual bodies, or the bodies one would expect, but there’s some trampled egos from this little escapade. Gotta love it. Wish more people would think like the Vets.
