Okay, that’s kinda funny…

Earlier this year I noticed that Outdoorlife.com had a feature called “My Favorite Gun” to which I impulsively posted an entry. I was surprised that they published it, but otherwise didn’t think that much about it until today when I got to wondering if it had gathered any comments or other signs of interest.

It didn’t. But they’re apparently wrapping up the feature, and its base post has acquired one amusing addition…

It doesn’t matter if it’s a cherished heirloom shotgun with a fancy walnut stock or an every-day beater polymer pistol that you carry for personal protection. We still want to hear about it.

Heh. So I guess it’s true what the lady from Outdoor Life said to me back in March. I said I was surprised they’d posted my entry at all, given that the Taurus isn’t a hunting gun or anything cool but just a beater every-day pistol, and she replied…

…don’t be surprised, it was a killer submission. The editors all loved it and it was exactly the kind of thing we were looking for: honest, gritty, well-written, and very Outdoor Life.

And you have a lifestyle and a viewpoint that engages, interests and amuses a wide range of people. When you headed off to the desert years ago, who knew??
BTW when are you getting a webcam so we can watch you going about your daily life? FOMCL and ROTF

Surely that would be some time AFTER the Lair gets an unmetered Internet connection?

And just guessing… Some indeterminate time following the freeze over of hell.

Just then, yes. I have considered the pros and cons of a youtube channel, though…
