Who sent that maple syrup some months ago…

I don’t actually make pancakes very often because it’s a large hassle factor for one guy. Hassle factor is the principal reason for my usual breakfast of Spammo Classico. But sometimes, when you’re in possession of kick-ass syrup, you just gotta.
PS: Laddie (Plate Licker) The Dog also asked me to say thanks.

Pancakes require milk, don’t they? I imagine milk isn’t a common staple for a person living without refrigeration.
Yeah, I keep a dusty jar of dry milk powder around just for pancakes.
Buttermilk pancake mix usually needs only water, oil and perhaps an egg. Oatmeal or your favorite hot cereal cooks with water, add canned fruit. Toast and coffee. Biscuits and coffee. Bring on the syrup.
Maple syrup is like bacon. No matter what you put it on – except maybe Brussels sprouts – the food is better.
Brussels sprouts taste better with bacon; slice your Brussels sprouts in half, saute in bacon grease until just crisp tender with fresh water chestnuts (canned works, just add in with the bacon), add back in the crumbled fried bacon, adjust salt and pepper and if you like, a sprinkle of nutmeg. Then enjoy!
Now if some kind patron would send you some condiments in packets: https://www.webstaurantstore.com/85/condiment-portion-control-packs.html?utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Low%20%7C%20Expansion&utm_term=%2Bcondiments%20%2Bpackets&utm_content=Condiment%20PC%20Packets and you tried some Ghee (Clarified butter) : https://kelapo.com/store/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=47 you might be a little more adventurous in your foods.
