Seventeen years to the day…

On November 6, 2006, Uncle Joel first moved fulltime into the Gulch. I don’t really keep anniversaries and this date usually slips by me unnoticed but I did happen to catch it this year. It’s been a helluva ride but overall it’s looking like a success!

About Joel

You shouldn't ask these questions of a paranoid recluse, you know.

And we thank you for letting us ride shotgun.
    Or tag along.
    Live vicariously.
    You get the idea.
    We’re glad you’re around.

Happy Anniversary! You have made a great life for yourself, from the ground up, out there in the perfect place for a hermit curmudgeon. With a dog. Congratulations and all best wishes!

Depending on what assumptions you make, I figure that by dropping out of the economy you have saved at least a quarter million in rent alone, at the same time that you have found a small group of kindred souls and made yourself useful to them.

More importantly, you seem to have found happiness.

    Congratulations!!
