Statist Republicans Kill ‘Constitutional Carry’ Bill In South Carolina
A bill that would allow South Carolinians to carry guns openly or concealed without first receiving the State’s sanction through a permit was killed by Republicans. It failed to advance out of the State’s Judiciary Committee — despite a large Republican majority — under strong opposition from Republican Senator Larry Martin.
The writer, Bill Livingston, says that part about ‘republican’ three times in the intro paragraph, as if he just can’t believe it. There’s nothing oxymoronic about a statist republican, Bill. They’re all statists. That’s why they’re in government. They want a shot at ruling you.

I’m sorry but you are describing an ‘unlimited’ right that has never been the case with the 2nd Amendment. My view of the 2nd Amendment has always been the right to own guns and keep them in our homes, business, and property and not to wear a gun whenever to wherever I pleased.”

I do sincerely wish everyone would stop getting all hung up on the “second amendment.” sigh
Anyway, a friend in the UK asked me about how things are going since Wyoming went to CC without a permit. I told him nothing had changed much, just nobody worried about “winter CC” when we had coats on. Of course, nobody much worried about that before anyway. No shootouts either.
But there is good reason to carry here anyway, rare as it is.

Good for him!! Just think of the far different outcome if this boy had
been prevented from using a gun because of some idiot “laws.” And then
I think about how much better it would have been if the lady had been
able and willing to defend herself. She was lucky the boy was there.
Does South Carolina still have all the laws it had 140 years ago? This guy is an idiot.
