Went shit-shoveling yesterday morning in a mighty windstorm. I’d put the boys in Gitmo, even though I wouldn’t be gone long, because LB took up chewing on the gearshift knob again.
I’ve got to do something more substantial about the door to Gitmo. Wind blew it open, and of course there wasn’t a dog in sight. But they’re maturing – apparently even Little Bear. I found them kanoodling around on the ridge between M’s Dome and the Lair, happily staying out of trouble. I praised and rewarded them – it wasn’t their fault they’d gotten loose in the first place.
Even though it was pretty nice all day yesterday except for the wind, the weatherman promised snow. He delivered big-time overnight, and at first I thought it would be overcast all morning. But right now the sky is perfectly clear and the solar panels are starting to clear off. Except for some laundry I don’t really have much planned today. This is actually the first morning in almost a week I’ve really needed the fire, and with the wind (which is still blowing off and on) it took quite a while for the stovepipe to warm all the way up and let the stove draw properly. But now around ten it’s nice and toasty in the Lair.
