The shooting has started for those guys who thought it would be a good idea to stage an armed occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. For a while I hoped that wouldn’t happen.
I confess I never got what they hoped to accomplish. Look, I’m no big strategy guru but even I know if you’re going to do something like initiate an armed standoff with federal thugs, it would be good to have an achievable objective. Never could figure out why these guys chose this particular hill. Last year’s Bundy Ranch standoff at least had a point.

Very true… sad thing is that we’ll probably never actually know what all went on there, the motives of the people involved, and how it all came to an end. I suspect, however, that if the man who was killed was actually trying to surrender.. there’s going to be more to this story.

Oh, at this point I haven’t even tried to read a “what really happened” story. Maybe that’ll get sorted out later and maybe not, but it’ll certainly be nothing but lies and speculation now.
We will see any numbers of “official” commentaries on this; from the FBI, from the protesters themselves, from the local community, from every moonbat on either side of the issue. from every politician seeking a media stage, etc.
One thing strikes me about this mess is when a person dies for a cause that person is dead whatever the outcome. As for what went on last night I suspect the truth will never be known because of all the spin doctors on the side of the various factions. When it comes right down to it there are no facts, there is no truth simply data to be manipulated.
