When farm boys get bored…

Stolen from the Vulgar Curmudgeon, who has recently changed his address – again…

I gotta say it doesn’t sound happy in operation. Questions as to longevity abound. OTOH I couldn’t have done it, so what the hell do I know?

Gave up trying to listen to it what with the horrid wind noise. Oh, well. 212cc is 12.9cu in. A powerhouse!

You can upgrade one of those Predator engines to 26 hp https://gokartsusa.com/Predator-212-Engine-Perfmance-Parts.aspx the parts will cost 5 times what you pay for the engine though.

I would not like to be around that truck when the engine finally fails. Near the end, when it’s running the sound of the engine is rather disturbing.

Here, for your entertainment is the other end of the lawn mower engine spectrum…

My first experience driving was a clapped out 44 jeep that maybe generated 30 HP, you learned to use that clutch and shift a lot to make it go. That silly predator engine probably makes that much HP with a singly cylinder. Sound is due to welded to frame engine with zero vibration damping. Tip o the hat to the kid for making it work. If he can get his hands on an opposed or V piston two banger and add some fan cooling it might even last longer than the truck.

To the stake with the heretic!
