Winter returns to Joel’s Gulch

Heavy wind in the afternoon often means a change of weather, so I woke this morning to see our brief mild spell has gone. There’s a dusting of snow and the weather man (person of undefined gender?) says the temp is supposed to stay in the 30’s all day.

I had to go out first thing to refill the Jeep’s antifreeze. It started to overheat during evening chicken chores, indicating that the new water pump leak is more severe than I hoped. So it’s not shaping up to be one of those really great days.

Pop the cap on your radiator so that it doesn’t pressurize, and it won’t leak as fast. But those damn things seem to leak a little for two or three days, and then fail completely all of a sudden.

I know the feeling about winter returning. Last week a foot of snow, then later it was above freezing and now we have freezing rain… Arrrgggg…

Good luck with the coolant pump. Just remember, until you get it fixed there’s a serious need to check the coolant every time you go to drive it plus keep extra coolant in the Jeep.. Otherwise at the very moment when you need the jeep the most, you’ll be screwed.

Weatherman. Rage, rage against the dying of the Patriarchy! Rule by Fathers gave us civilization. Feminism gave us pink hats and the pound-me-too movement.

    Never give an inch!

Be sure to keep Torso Boy away from any antifreeze spills. My parents lost a pair of corgis who found some.

To the stake with the heretic!
