If the U.S. Presidency has devolved into an eight-year exercise in domestic and international crisis management, then maybe we should be paying more attention to Hillary as a cautionary example…

…and the news has gotten nothing but worse for Her Satanic Majesty at every excruciating step of the trip.
The old joke about the misdeeds of politicians is that it’s not the crime that gets you indicted, it’s the cover-up. History clearly teaches us that no crisis is more important to any pol than the one that can get him or her thrown into Club Fed – and ten times that when it can also screw up an election. In the past interminable four or five months Hillary Clinton has shown us how she handles what’s developing as the most important crisis of her life – and she has screwed it up at every slightest opportunity. We’ve gone from a situation where she might have had to endure a few days of “Granny Clinton doesn’t know where emails go” columns before we all moved on, to a highly publicized FBI investigation with daily front-page reports complete with phrases like “Top-Secret” and “Chinese hackers” and, um, “criminal.”
She never had any friends in the Obama group, so it’s not surprising that they threw her under the bus. The MSM is doing what it can, but she’s given all manner of ammunition to her enemies.
She’s the front-runner and nobody credible is even running behind her. But her own party is getting very worried. What started out as a routine attempt to keep that guy Ben Ghazi out of the election news has turned into something entirely different, and entirely worse, and she has nobody to blame but herself.
What the hell kind of manager is this woman, that she can’t do better than that?
From the viewpoint of some old guy in the desert who doesn’t really care which of these otherwise-indistinguishable statist bastards the voters “choose,” this is starting to look like it might be an entertaining year after all.
It will be fine if it turns out somewhat entertaining, rather than just annoying, but I get the impression already that it’s going to be mostly annoying… unless you are amused by annoyance.
Or something… NOTHING about this political insanity makes the least sense to me. sigh
Clinton is a proven liar, thief, and an immoral twit who can’t even lie effectively… (but she’s rich, of course, and “connected”). Documented, filmed, recorded and witnessed lies and stupidity, by millions across the globe. The only rational outcome should be total shunning by the entire population of the world, but that’s not any more apt to happen than serious jail time for this phony baloney.
Of course the shunning would disrupt what’s left of the economy and trade, since hundreds of thousands of other politicians and operatives (just in the US) would have to be included. Why target just Hitlery, when all politicians, bureaucrats and their supporters differ only in scope and details, not in kind.
I’ve already suggested to friends in the area that the people of the west should shun all EPA employees and their associates, friends and contractors, RE the big toxic waste spill in Colorado. At the very least, those actually responsible should be treated just like the Gulf oil spill perpetrators.
Instead, it seems the people of Colorado, etc. can scream and threaten lawsuits, while at the same time they see the EPA folks as actually wanting to help them with the aftermath of this filthy deed… and may even be giving them discounts rather than refusing to do business with them.
Doomed, I tell you…
If it hadn’t been for the booming economy during the 1990’s, the Clinton presidency years would have been horrible for the Democrats. I “recall” (in for a penny, in for a pound) slick wording and tons of obfiscation from the Clintons on the various scandals that occurred during their tenure – it was a joke!
I agree – both have arrogantly flipped their noses at the rules of the game, but this one is a doozy – Nixon was accused of lying, but this – and she isn’t even been selected as the official Demon – I mean Democrat canidate.
No wonder there are so many Republican canidates – they only have to fight amongst themselves to get a real shot at the White House.

Sorry, but neither party has produced even one candidate or potential candidate whom I would like to have as my President. (I hope that doesn’t gore anybody’s personal ox, but that’s just the way it is with me.)

Except she knows enough sewage from the Administration to sink it, no matter how ABCNNBCBS and their dead-tree fellow travelers might try to spin. And if they dare to threaten her, she can give right back every bit as good as she gets. Of course, they might try to exterminate her. But if they fail to do that correctly on the first attempt, they need to remember “FoB“. That would be “Friends of Bill”. The Clintons have their own team that REALLY knows how to get rid of troublemakers. Permanently.
And don’t think that Slick would be glad to see her eliminated by the Muslim in Chief’s toadies. He knows very well who wears the pants in their family…
I think both Clintons are given entirely too much credibility, and are becoming less and less the “team players” the really powerful people want to see fronting their operations. I think she – and maybe both of them – will have a tragic “accident” or she will suddenly become very ill…. The political scene always looks chaotic and full of independent actors, but I don’t believe any of them really are.
Remember that all political parties, and all politicians in fact, are merely demonstrating various masks for the real evil behind them. That evil is the false belief of most people that these politicians and their minions have any legitimate authority to do anything they do. Now that’s a cosmic sick joke if there ever was one. It is that supposed authority that gives them the power they crave, the most addictive thing on earth.
“The people” have been these others to own their lives and destroy their property for a very long time. The hope for so many being that they can snag a little of the power and loot for themselves along the way. The current fighting between the factions of those who think themselves “more equal” and deserving of more power and loot… is going to make this election even more chaotic than those in the recent past. Be very wary of the “candidate” who can convince each faction he/she will favor them…
I don’t think any kind of good outcome is possible, so it wouldn’t take much to boil this pot hard. And most of those fighting and dying will not be doing so for individual liberty, but for whatever they can grab of the power and loot… as it has always been.
